Gateway.....

So tonight I heard the following quote "Life is not the journey to death, but death is the gateway to eternal life" I find that actually pretty awesome. I also think it is often overlooked.

A wonderful friend of mine, tonight said that we often become so focused on how sad it is when we think about non-Christians not going to heaven (which is true, it is sad and every single person needs salvation), yet we all seem to overlook the fact that we are all dirty rotten sinners who don't actually deserve to go to heaven in the first place - saved or unsaved, and that is the stark honest truth.

Mind boggling when you actually look at it this way. Don't you think???

Channel Four.......

This evening I watched a programme called 'The Virgin Daughters" on channel four.  It was all about purity and sex before marriage. I have to be truthful it totally freaked me.   I really believe that marriage is sacred and an act that shouldn't be taken into lightly, I also whole- heartedly  believe that you should save yourself for marriage. Saving yourself however I don't believe means you cant hold hands or kiss.  God isn't going to be upset with you because you kissed a boy at the age of 15, you aren't going to be unclean for holding someone of the opposites sex hand.  It makes me think what impression are we giving to younger non-Christians, 'if you become a Christian you cant hold you boyfriend/girlfriends hand until you're married'; that is insane and frankly I don't think 98% of young people will buy into. Search Me.......

Ok, I cant sleep and cant say I am impressed by it. I have a busy day tomorrow so really need my sleep - but whatever I do is not helping. I have gone for a drive, sat by the sea, walked along the front, counted sheep you name it I have done it!!! So I de cided to sort out my IPod. It has so much rubbish on and thought it would be good to get some new stuff on it for the holiday period.
