Joseph.......

So I have just got back from seeing Joseph in London - it was fantastic!!!

I have never seen it before and really loved it.  Gareth Gates played the leading role and I was  reminded why I loved him so much in Pop Idol!!!!  He played Joseph fantastically and his voice was stunning.

My youngest sister was squealing and drooling over him!  Especially at the end when he came very close to her - poor man he must've been scared out of his wits!!!

It was so nice to spend some time together as a family and we all had an awesome evening.

Roll on the next night out!!!

I'd love to see it with Gareth. Over the years, we've seen Joseph played by Jason Dononvan, Philip Schofield, Lee Mead, a couple of others whose names I can't remember and then that Craig guy from Any Dream Will Do. Lee Mead was my fave - beautiful in his loin cloth!!!!
Such a brilliant feel-good musical too. We are all MASSIVE fans - Paul included!

Peacemaker..........

Tonight we took some of the youth to hear Tony Anthony speak. It was truly inspiring and moving. I know the youth loved it and lapped up every second available to them, so much so they all have his book 'Taming the Tiger' and want to talk about what was said at youth cell this week. After such a powerful session I wanted to go and wind down and just spend some time out, not doing anything except exsisting. So I took a slow drive down to Southend, my intention to take a walk along the sea front and just breathe the air available. I parked up overlooking the sea and just thought. I had no real train of thought or specific prayer points I wanted to cover. I just let my mind and God's words lead me. I then put on the most stunning CD a beautiful friend did for me. The song 'Peacemaker' by Greg Ferguson started to play. Each word in the song is so heart touching and thought provoking - it is just a truly magnificent song. Just to ease your minds I did manage to drive h...

Lean on me..........

My time working with the youth has brought me more surprises than I ever thought possible. The way their minds work, the questions they ask and the obvious time they spend carefully placing into words the amazing thoughts and their deepest feelings truly bowl me over. Tonight was one of those times. I received an email from a member of the youth asking me to follow the link to a video on youtube . The email went on to say how much this video had spoken to them and they wanted me to watch and hoped it would impact me the same way in which it had them. When I emailed back and asked if I could place it on my blog and explain the circumstances behind the video, their comment was "I guess the more people it touches the better". This video is a tribute to the people of America when Hurricane Katrina hit. It is a Christian Song entitled Lean on Me, sung by Kirk Franklin, Mary J, Bono, Crystal Lewis and R Kelly
